No.2:Alaskan Yellow Cedar (HIBA) Go Board with Legs
2-sun (6 cm thick of the board,''SUN'' is an old Japanese scale unit. 1sun = approx. 3cm)
Basic grain descriptions and types include:
''MASAME'' straight - grain which runs in a single direction, parallel to the axis of the tree.
This is some pieces composition board.

A wooden floor board with legs is the most traditional, elegant, and expensive of all boards.
Historically, to play on these boards, the Japanese would sit on tatami mats.

Alaskan Yellow Cedar (HIBA) grows along the Pacific coast of North America from Oregon up
into Canada and Alaska. It likes moist climates, and thus it is only found along coastal areas.
Due to the colder temperatures and high rainfall of its local climate, Yellow Cedar grows very
slowly with closely packed growth rings and very little distinction between early wood and late
wood rings. This makes for a dense, consistent color and a high degree of stability throughout
the tree. Moreover, Alaskan Yellow Cedar is highly rot and insect resistant and very hard.
